At Glass Doctor, we handle chips and cracks differently to ensure the safety of your windshield. Chips less than half an inch in diameter can be repaired. We'll inspect your windshield, clean the chip, fill it with resin, and buff the area until it is smooth and flat. Don't delay repairs, though. Chips that get dirty or widen into cracks with time and temperature changes require a windshield replacement.
Fractured windshields should always be replaced. It's not safe to attempt to fix windshield cracks, especially if they obstruct driver vision or reach the edge of your windshield. Instead, we'll perform a full replacement to get you back on the road safely.
As soon as we determine your glass needs to go, we'll begin your replacement. We use only manufacturer-quality glass and AGSC-approved adhesive to install your new windshield.
During your service, our experienced team will inspect the damage, carefully remove the damaged glass, and replace it with a new, unblemished windshield. We cover your new windshield installation for 12 months when you opt in to the Glass Doctor Windshield Protection Plan. This plan covers unlimited windshield repairs and one replacement within a year of the original installation date.
