How it Works
On a microscopic level, all glass is innately porous-there are puny holes throughout the surface. Although they cannot be felt or seen, they will eventually collect enough residue from water, soap, or dirt and become visible. This aging effect can be prolonged with proper care. However, it is inevitable.
ShowerGuard glass is treated with Guardian’s patented ion-beam process, which fills the microscopic pores found in typical glass with a translucent, resistant coating. This prevents minerals, scale and soap scum from ruining the beauty of your shower. The coat does not affect the clarity of your glass. Check out the three different types of ShowerGuard glass below!
